Research shows that split-feeding strategies can improve fertility of broiler breeders. Using supplemental spin-feeders in the afternoon, that deliver a small portion of feed, helps to stimulate afternoon-activity. These increased activity levels ensure that more hens visit the scratch are in the afternoon, and is beneficial to stimulate mating behaviour.
